Vishnu, working in a hotel as a helper, suffered multiple fractures and was rushed to the district hospital.
In a statement to police, Vishnu admitted that he was a big fan of Hrithik and was trying to imitate him after watching a stunt sequence.
The incident occurred after Friday’s last show of the film when Vishnu, after watching a thrilling scene, walked up from the lower rows of Abhishek cinema hall to its balcony and jumped into the lower stands creating panic.
Police have registered a case of attempted suicide against him, Superintendent of Police, Khandwa, D C Sagar said.
