New Delhi: A day after an article written by Shah Rukh Khan caught everyone within and across the border by surprise. The fans have given their share of assurance to SRK. The hashtag #WeStandBySRK was one of the top trends on Twitter, with fans showering their support for 'King Khan'.
Thousands of tweets flooded Twitter in support of the star who has recently written an article for the Outlook Turning Points magazine talking about his Muslim identity in the post-9/11 world. The article contained instances from SRK bittersweet experiences of carrying a surname which 'pops-up in the security systems'.
Across all social media platforms this flared an instant debate on whether Khan was overlooking the unconditional love and support of his fans. Was he, in other words contextualising his religious identity?

The hashtag #WeStandBySRK was one of the top trends on Twitter, with fans showering their support for \'King Khan\'.
Many wrote off the article calling it yet another attempt by SRK for attention. But it seems the ones who made Shah Rukh Khan the household name that he is today are backing him and strongly so.
