Farah Khan shakes a leg for a cause

Mumbai: On World Cancer Day Farah Khan was caught shaking a leg for a good cause. On request of cancer affected children, Farah came in to teach the young ones a few cool moves from her film Om Shanti Om. And to her surprise, the kids knew the choreography better than her.

“I think they are lovely, they have so much enthusiasm. And, they remember the steps the steps they were doing. We all take our own movies for granted but when you see these kids enjoying it so much you realise that you should make movies that give joy, pleasure and happiness to so many people,” says filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan.

And while the great Bollywood choreographer was with these kids, she didn’t forget to mention her triplets who will turn one-year-old next week.

“My kids can’t talk right now because they aren’t even one-year-old but they are very sharp. My daughter is definitely going to be an electrician. She completely knows how to remove the regulator of the fan, she knows how to operate all the remotes and use my phone.

“And, my son is like a bull in a China shop. He just head butting everything can come in his way. He is a boy – you realise genetically how different men are from women when you see them as kids. It is not something we have taught him. He is being brought up with the others but they are just dainty little fairies, as we call them and this one is a monster,” she adds.

Though Farah has stopped choreographing songs for other filmmakers, she made an exception for good friend Shah Rukh Khan's dance number in Billu Barber.

“We had a feeling of de ja vu even though it was completely a futuristic kind of and Om Shanti Om was in the past. But, it felt like we were in the same shoot. We would eat together and I was still going mad over her costumes and trying to pin things and improving them. But you see with Shah Rukh it always feels good. I always feel comfortable.

“I couldn't do his first song with Kareena because I had just delivered and I wasn't leaving the babies then because I was feeding them. But this song was much later and he doesn't even have to ask me. All he has to do is make a call and I reach,” says Farah.

Meanwhile news is that Farah has already started the pre-production work for her next film titled Happy Birthday starring Shah Rukh Khan of course.
