Click to play videoNew Delhi: Director-actor Farhan Akhtar was rocking the Capital on Thursday to promote his forthcoming film Rock On.
Even though India may not really be known for a thriving rock culture,
and the movie doesn't star any big names, Akhtar is confident of connecting with the youth.
"People are quite ready to accept something that is considered new and is not constantly being pegged on of a big star. And is what I think has created the entire buzz about the film. Another reason would be the music, as it's very new. Also the youth across the country have connected with the music," said Farhan.
Like for Farhan Akhtar, Rock On is also the big screen debut of television actor Prachi Desai who was the winner of Jhalak Dikhlaja in 2007.
"Ever since I was a child I always wanted to be an actress. I was in the XII standard when I auditioned for Kasam Se and started acting for television. But I never thought my big screen debut would happen so soon, it's like a dream come true. I just love what I'm doing," said Prachi.
The movie releases nationwide on August 29. Here's hoping Farhan and his band manage to rock the audiences all over.
