Barmer: A farmer in Rajasthan has become a father at the age of 88. He claims camel milk and not Viagra did it for him.

When 88-year-old Veerma Ram of Barmer became a father, people of his village believed the God had smiled and the rains had drenched the desert.

Twenty-days-old Bhomyo is son to an extraordinary father

People from seven neighbouring villages turned up for a grand feast on the special occasion and Veerma Ram, the extraordinary father of 20-days-old Bhomyo, had huge company to celebrate with.

"The villages prayed, celebrated and everyone's very happy. They gifted me Rs 15,000 but I'm old, find it difficult to work now. Government should give me a salary to bring up the baby," says the proud father Veerma Ram.

It is not certain if that salary will come, but what everyone's wondering is how did this man father a baby at such an age!

Camel milk and not Viagra did it for him, reveals Veerma Ram

Long walks keep him fit, reveals Veerma Ram and he is also a huge fan of camel milk. As his village is in the middle of the Thar desert, he doesn't have to look too hard for camel milk.

"He has camel milk in the morning and evening. He takes great care of his camels. His world is among his camels. We all think Veerma Ram is a great guy," says head of Leelsar village Joga Ram Jat.

Like the desert rains, becoming father at such a great age is rare too. But blessed with a baby after waiting for sixteen years, interestingly, Veerma Ram says he would love to have more children!
