Kanpur: A horrendous incident took place when a man, under the
influence of an exorcist, beat his daughter to death in the Bithur area of Kanpur.
According to the police, the deceased Ramsri, belonged to the Nidhauri village fell ill and was undergoing treatment at Rama Dental Hospital for a while. However all these efforts were in vain.
After being fed up of her prolonged illness, she tried to commit
suicide but was saved.
Superstitious villagers suggested to Lalman, to get Ramsri treated
from a witch doctor.
Lalman took his daughter to the exorcist, where she was beaten black
and blue as part of the treatment by her father.
Ramsri succumbed to her wounds today morning, police added.
A case has been registered in this regard.
