'Ferrari Ki Sawari': Vidya to perform Lavani

New Delhi: Actress Vidya Balan is screening her first ever item number in 'Ferrari Ki Sawari' to a group of Lavani dancers to ensure that it is perfect. The 34-year-old has been learning authentic Lavani steps for the song 'Mala Jao Dya Na Ghari' from a group of Kohlapur dancers and decided to show them the song before it hits the screens.

"We want the song to look purely authentic, although we are in talks with a bunch of Lavani dancers from Kolhapur for the first test screening," said director Rajesh Mapuskar.

The movie stars Sharman Joshi in the lead role and is produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Balan spent three weeks rehearsing the dance step with the troupe from Kolhapur.

Along with Niharika Khan for 'The Dirty Picture', Neeta Lulla won the Best Costume Designer award for 'Balgandharva'.
Bosco and Caeser won the Best Choreography title for 'Senorita' from 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara'. Baylon Fonseca won the Best Location Sound Recordist award for the movie.
Shah Rukh Khan's 'RA.One' won a national award for Best Special Effects. Harry Hingorani and Keitan Yadav are the lucky winners.
Child artists of the film, which includes Irrfan Khan, Sanath Menon, Rohan Grover, Naman Jain, Aarav Khanna, Vishesh Tiwari, Chinmai Chandranshuh, Vedant Desai, Divij Handa and Shriya Sharma have won the award for Best Child Artist.
The 'Chillar Party' group shares the Best Child Artist award with Partho Gupte of 'Stanley ka Dabba'.
Abhishek Bachchan's 'Game' has won two awards, Best Sound Designer and Best Re-recordist of the final mixed track.
Directed by Ranjith Balakrishnan, the movie has been named Best Malayalam Film.

'Shala' has won the Best Marathi Film award. Avinash Deshpande Nigdi won the Best Screenplay Writer (Adapted) award for the film.
The movie has been named Best Bengali Film of 2011. Anjan Dutt won a Special Jury Award for the film. Neel Dutt won the Best Music Direction award for the movie.
'Chillar Party' has been named Best Children's Film. Vikas Behl & Manish Tiwari have won the Best Screenplay Writer (Original) award for the film.
Anand Bhate won the Best Male Playback Singer for 'Balgandharva'.
Appu Kutty has won the Best Supporting Actor award for 'Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai'.
It has won the Best Punjabi Film award. Gurvinder Singh has also won the Best Direction award for the same.
Pravin KL won the Best Editing award for the film. Indira Gandhi Award For Best Debut Film of a Director also went to 'Aaranyakandam'.
The film has won the Best Manipuri Film award. Leishangthem Tonthoingambi Devi won the Best Supporting Actress for the film.
Mayookh Bhaumik won the Best Background Score for 'Laptop'.
Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment went to 'Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai'.
The film won a special mention certificate.
Roopa Ganguly has won the Best Female Playback Singer title for 'Abosheyshey'.
Indraneel Ghosh has won the Best Production Design award for the film.

"It is a great song. It is strange that I was once criticised for my lack of dancing skills but now have been asked to do an item number. I am not a dancer but now I have started enjoying dancing after 'The Dirty Picture'," Balan had said.
