Filmy Fiscal: H'wood dazzles Box Office this week

Mumbai: Don’t get fooled by advertisements for films that call itself, say, superhit because Filmy Fiscal comes to you straight from the box office.

How much moolah did the films that released last weekend rake in? Was it a hit or a miss?

CNN-IBN’s Rohit Khilnani gets you the box office report and the right figures on which film is doing good business and which isn’t.

The only Bollywood release last week, Fool N Final competed with two Hollywood biggies Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End and Shrek The Third at the box office this week.

Now the pirates of the Carribean have reached the world’s end and that sets the box office on fire!

From Friday to Sunday Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End collected approximately Rs8 crore from 341 screens in India.

Meanwhile, Shrek The Third has set a new record at the US box office, back home in India also this film has been received well.

Shrek The Third opened around 95 per cent from 54 screens across the country and what worked? Needless to say, Shrek and his loyal fans.

Meanwhile, Bollywood continued to embarrass itself by releasing a film called Fool N Final.

Only because there was no other Hindi release, the film had its advantage. The film received a good opening but that was only till the movie buffs walked out of the theatre.

Fool N Final continued to make film critics’ job difficult. After spending or rather wasting three hours in the theatre, they didn’t even manage to get a two star rating.
