Mumbai: Don’t get fooled by the advertisements for films that call it say superhit, because Filmy Fiscal comes to you straight from the box office so there is no scope of fudging figures.
A film that is doing exceptionally well at the ticket window is Namaste London. It opened 75 per cent on Friday and reached up to 90 per cent by Sunday.
The credit goes to the film’s fresh look: a theme that attracts NRI audience and the buzz surrounding it.
Meanwhile, Mira Nair's The Namesake released in very few theatres in India and hence its opening was not up to the mark.
The film opened at only 20 per cent but the film which had already released in the US, opened very well there and has recovered Rs 5 crore. The movie is not doing well in India because of its poor distribution strategy.
