New Delhi: A major fire broke out at Himalaya House on KG Marg in central Delhi on Monday morning. The fire broke out on the fifth and the sixth floors of the building, officials said. Delhi Fire Services Director AK Sharma said that the fire broke out after some initial problem in "disconnecting electricity".
Officials say the fire is getting worse despite 38 fire engines tending to it. The fire broke out at about 6.20 this morning on the 5th and 6th floors.
The building houses several commercial offices. But officials have confirmed that no one is present inside. All points leading to the the building on Kasturba Gandhi Marg have been cordoned off.
