New Delhi: A fire broke out inside the Finance Ministry office in the wee hours of Thursday morning.
The flames have been doused now but the assessment of the damage is still being conducted. The fire broke out in two rooms and officials say that many documents have been burnt.
Six fire brigades and electricians were rushed to the spot at about 5.45 am in the morning but the exact cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
"All the records present in the two rooms which caught fire, in the cupboards and otherwise, have been destroyed," a fire official said.
