Washington: At least five people, including the gunman, were shot and killed during a shooting spree at a fitness center near Pittsburgh, according to media reports on Tuesday.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported on its website that a man with a duffel bag walked into an LA Fitness Center in Collier township and began firing.
CNN quoted a local official as saying five people were killed and up to another 15 wounded. The shooter was among the dead, Collier township manager Gary Vituccio told the network.
One witness told the Post-Gazette that she was in an exercise class when a man entered through a back door and began shooting.
"I was crouched to the side with a girl who was not my friend ... shoot ... shoot ... shoot," the woman was quoted as saying.
She added she had been told as many as eight to 10 people had been wounded.
Another witness was quoted as saying she had heard 12 to 15 shots.
