Flying start for Superman premiere

Mumbai: The premiere for Superman Returns was a sight to remember. Almost everyone present for the premiere of the much-awaited film was flaunting one of the Superman t-shirts.

The premiere was more like a festival for all superhero fans since it is the comeback of the original one.

"I was a Superman fan since my childhood. I used to read Superman comics and had them under my bed. Christopher Reeves was a personal friend of mine even before he became Superman. So I am here to see how is the new Superman when compared to the old one," actor Kabir Bedi said.

But for most, Superman is beyond a character. He is perfection personified.

"He is handsome. He doesn't wear a mask like his other counterparts; he has super powers, he beats up the baddies and he can fly which mean he can sweep a girl off her feet, literally. He is so strong which makes him a perfect man," actress Poja Bedi said.

But not everything about Superman is flawless.

"He wears his underwear outside his clothes. That's a little odd," Pooja quipped.

"He has a kiddish face to be a Superman," singer, Jimmy said.

But model and actress Diana Hayden disagreed. "Nothing. He is just perfect," she affirmed.

It seemed like the persona of Superman had mixed up reality and fiction for everyone present at the premiere.

"I wish something like Superman happens in reality," music director, Pritam said.
