Focus Points to help students, parents

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education will open ‘Focus Points’, which will provide all information regarding Plus-I admissions,  in all districts from May 16. The Focus Points will introduce parents and students to the various subject combinations, possibilities of higher education in each subject and the job prospects of the subjects.
 On working days, the services of the Focus Point will be available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and full time over phone. The higher secondary schools will showcase the list of schools where the Focus Point will work in each district and the contact numbers. Communication regarding this has been given to all principals.
 A press note from Higher Secondary Director Muhammad Sagir said that the Focus Point would help the parents and students go through the admission process in a relaxed manner. It is the Career Guidance and Adolescent Counselling Cell of the Directorate which is holding the programme.
