Fog, chill no more worry Indian golfers

New Delhi: Practicing golf can be a nightmare in the foggy and chilly conditions of Delhi and a lot of other parts of India during this time. But as CNN-IBN's Himanshu Singhal reports, Indian golfers have found a way out and technology seems to be filling the breach perfectly.

Thirty-year old Naman Dawar is using a golf simulator to hone his golfing skills as a busy season beckons.

Dawar is one of the best golfers in Delhi and knows the simulator is his best bet in the wintry months of December and January when chilly conditions and lack of visibility can be major deterrents in his practice.

What more, he believes the simulator is helping his game as well. Though, golfers across the world have been using simulators for a long time, the concept is relatively new in India.

But the fact that a typical simulator offers a high resolution 3D simulation of real courses from Pebble beach to Torry Pines makes it an interesting business proposition for its promotors in India.

Clearly, with high quality sensors, precise shot measurements, high definition projection and surround sound, it indeed looks like the perfect way for golf enthusiasts to beat the winter chill and pamper their golfing appetite as well.
