The search engine giant has put together an elaborate experience for Internet users seeking information on the ongoing Olympic Games in London. Google has also put up a London 2012 Olympic Games page that keeps users abreast of the latest happenings at the games.

Olympics related search queries on Google display contextual results from the games including live scores and schedules. The recently launched Knowledge Graph that appears to the right on Google search results pages is also a rich source of information on Olympic events. Want to be in London but couldn't? Google can take you there with a virtual trip to London landmarks and Olympic venues with Street View. Google also includes a time-lapse of the Olympic Park's construction and a tour of the Park grounds with a fly-through.

YouTube is live streaming the Olympics and videos of events are available on the International Olympics Committee's official YouTube page.

The Olympics Page on Google+, Google's nascent social media service, allows users to access information about the games and tells the story of with images and related content.

Google also gives fans a feature wherein they can change their profile pictures to the flag of their choice and use it on different social networking websites.

For London 2012 Google is continuing with its tradition of a daily Olympic doodle on its home page that began in Sydney 2000. Beginning with the opening ceremony, Google has till Tuesday posted five different doodles.
