Former Mumbai police chief Arup Patnaik admitted to hospital, undergoes angioplasty

Mumbai: Former Mumbai police commissioner Arup Patnaik was on Wednesday admitted to the Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai where he underwent an angioplasty. He had gone to the hospital for a check-up and had complained of discomfort and irritation.

Following his complaint, an angiography was done on the former Mumbai police chief which revealed a blockage. After this, Patnaik underwent an angioplasty.

Patnaik is currently admitted on the 19th floor of the Jaslok Hospital and is likely to be discharged on Friday.

According to reports, Patnaik is responding well to the treatment.
