KOLLAM: A former RSS activist was killed after being attacked by a gang at the busy Thrikkadavoor Junction near here in board daylight on Tuesday.
The victim identified as Jayan alias Rajesh, 35, of Thirkkadavoor was attacked by a six-member gang who came on motorcycles. He later succumbed to the injuries at a private hospital in the city.
The incident occurred around 11 am when he was on his way home from the junction. The assailants inflicted fatal cuts in his head, face and chest with sharp weapons. A relative of the victim, Raghunathan Pillai, who came to his rescue, was hurt in the attack.
