Four robbers beaten to death in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad: Four alleged robbers, who allegedly looted a house, were caught by locals who beat them to death, police said.

The incident took place when four men broke open into the residence of one Ramesh Bhardwaj in Loni locality.

As they were trying to make an escape by scaling the wall, police said a stolen article fell down making a loud noise.

Hearing the noise, some of the neighbours came out and saw the robbers.

When the robbers were encountered by locals, they opened fire from the building which was retaliated, the police said.

Some people managed to catch them as they tried to escape, the police said, adding they were beaten badly by the locals to death.

Police sources said there were actually six robbers and two of them managed to flee from the scene.
