VELLORE: Vellore district administration has organised for free buses from three places to the Vellore Cantonment on May 26, to visit the Red Ribbon Express, a special train to create awareness of AIDS. Speaking at a meeting here to discuss the arrangements, Collector Ajay Yadav said that free buses would be operated to Vellore Cantonment from Vellore new bus stand, old bus stand and Chittoor bus stand.
Ahead of the arrival of the Red Ribbon Express on May 26, Yadav released an audio-visual CD, stickers and pamphlets on AIDS.
Joint Director of Medical and Rural Health Services, A C Chandranathan, Project Officer of TANSACS, Jovalan Niranjan and District Supervisor of AIDS Control Society, Subramanian and Red Ribbon district manager Adhisaya Rooban were present.
