Mumbai: It's a view that Sanjay Dutt got used in the last 23 days - the view from behind bars. But on Thursday, he was inside the compound of his bungalow, with his family besides him, speaking to the media outside and asking his fans to pray for him.
The actor's day started the same way -- with an round of handshakes with the prison guards as he finally got out of Pune's Yerawada jail three days after Supreme Court granted him interim bail.
His lawyers finally got their hands on the bail papers on Wednesday evening after a round of delays.
As he walked out of the jail, a frenzy of photographers and reporters swamped Munnabhai, trying to get every possible shot till the police slammed the car door and drove him straight to Pune airport trailed by a cascade of cameramen.
At Pune aiport, Sanjay Dutt, still shaking hands, had to fight through another crowd till security men blocked off access and he reached a private plane for the short twenty minute flight to Mumbai.
Home at last, Sanjay went straight to the waiting hugs and kisses and from all reports -- a workout at the gym.
But it'll be a short home coming for the star. He will have to surrender to Supreme Court once the TADA court in Mumbai hands over a copy of its judgement and that could be as soon as on August 27. Till then, its Lage Raho Munnabhai.
