New Delhi: This weekend will be yet another one without a big Bollywood release.
Movie buffs will again have to make do without their weekly dose of new films due to the ongoing strife between film producers and multiplex owners over profit sharing.
Even Bollywood biggies have joined the fight with film producers, including Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan unanimously deciding against screening their films at multiplexes until the latter agrees to an equal profit sharing system.
Till now the profit sharing figures for the producers have been 48 per cent for the first week and 38 per cent for the second depending upon each movie.
Producers are now demanding 50 per cent share from ticket sales.
Last week saw the two Khans share a platform to voice the concern of the producers but the deadlock has not been resolved as yet.
However, with no big Bollywood release this week there are more Hollywood films hitting the screens.
