Friday Release: The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

New Delhi: 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' not only has a big name, but also has a long list of actors. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Judi Dench, Dev Patel, Celina Imrie, Bill Nighy, Ronald Pickup, Maggie Smith and Penelope Wilton.

Directed by John Madden, the film is about a group of seven British people who are on a visit to India to enjoy their retirement. For them, India seems less expensive and more exotic.

However, their dream to live a peaceful life in India gets shattered when they find that the hotel is not exactly like what they were promised. Still the retirees adjust with the environment and their lives get transformed by their subsequent experiences in India.

\'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel\' not only has a big name, but also has a long list of actors.

Dev Patel plays the owner of the Marigold Hotel, but the humble man can't make the foreigners happy who are not used to the strange customs and even stranger Indian food items.

Every retiree has a separate story and a distinct motive of coming to India, but Indian hospitality doesn't suit them much. Slowly and steadily, they get used to the local systems and beliefs, and they discover some of the deepest facts about life.

Apart from Dev Patel, Judi Dench is the most known face of the film. Known as M of James Bond series, Dench plays a recently widowed woman in the film.

The film will be a test for Dev Patel also who has still not come out of his 'Slumdog Millionaire' image. This will be a good chance for him to break out of the established image and create a new one.
