New Delhi: It is time to say "Thank God, it is Friday!" and check out the Friday releases.
Acid Factory
Drawing inspiration from the Hollywood flick Unknown, director Suparn Verma's thriller Acid Factory revolves around five men caught in a cell who wake up to realise that they have lost their memory. Through the course of the film, they realize that three of them are kidnappers and two of them are hostages, but having no memory no one knows who the hunter is and who the hunted. Featuring Fardeen Khan, Irrfan Khan, Manoj Bajpai, Dino Morea, Aftab Shivdasani and Dia Mirza, Acid Factory should work for thriller fans.
Surrogates
Based on the comic book series of the same name Surrogates is a sci-fi thriller about a time in the future when human beings are cooped up in their homes while also using their clones or surrogates to perform their day to day activities. But all hell breaks loose when a murder takes place for the first time in years and FBI agent Tom Greer (played by Bruce Willis) discovers a conspiracy behind the surrogate phenomenon. He must now abandon his own clone and risk his life to unravel the mystery.
...And the other flicks
Also hitting theatres in Mumbai is the Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams fantasy romance The Time Traveler's Wife where a wife learns to cope with her husband's uncanny ability to travel through time. Woodstock fans can take a trip down memory lane with Ang Lee's comic take on the 1969 musical movement in Taking Woodstock and there is also the Keira Knightley - Ralph Fiennes starrer The Duchess which is a tale set in Victorian England around the duchess of Devonshire who's stuck in a loveless marriage.
