Friday releases: Salman's Veer in theatres today

Salman Khan is vying for a hit with his magnum opus Veer, written by Khan himself the film is directed by Anil Sharma and stars Salman Khan and new comer Zarine Khan. This historic drama is set in British India, and revolve around the brave Pindari tribe, who prefer death to dishonour. And the bravest of the lot, is Veer who fights the British but also has to choose between love and his kingdom.

NEW YORK, I LOVE YOU

Also releasing this week is on the lines of Paris Je t'aime is New York I Love You. A collective work of 11 short films of about 10 minutes in length film is a kaleidescope of the spontaneous, surprising, electrifying human connections in New York city -- the city which never sleeps and has love always on it's mind! Amongst the names to watch out for in this film are Natalie Portman, Mira Nair, Irrfan Khan and Shekhar Kapoor.

Where the wild things are

Delhi will also see the release of Where the Wild Things Are. An adolescent named Max , played by Max Records, has an active imagination, and following a fight with his mother, one day he runs away. Max not only runs away physically, but runs toward a world in his imagination. This world, an ocean away, is inhabited by large wild beasts, who befriend Max. Adopted from Maurice Sendak's book , Where the Wild Things Are , has been directed by Spike Jones.
