New Delhi: The doodle on the Google homepage is not something new as we have often seen Google celebrating major historic events, but the today's doodle is not only unique, but the first of its kind. Apparently, the today's doodle has been designed to mark the New year's eve 2013.
The doodle that Google today has come up with is an assortment of 35 doodles that appeared during the year 2012. From the London 2012 Olympics doodles to the interactive zipper doodle that appeared on Gideon Sundback's 132nd Birthday, almost all major doodles are present in the today's doodle.
Every element (doodle) in Google's New year's eve 2013 doodle is clickable. Out of 35 clickable doodles, 34 of them take you to the particular Google doodle page, however one element in the doodle, which has 2013 written on it, takes you to the New year's eve search results.

The letters of the word Google are placed haphazardly in the doodle. All the letters of the word Google are in the standard Google colours - Blue, Red, Yellow, and Green. With the table in the centre laden with food, the doodle gives an impression of the New Year's eve party.
Taking into account the sensitivity and anger of Indian citizens following the brutal Delhi gangrape case, Google has not posted the doodle on the India homepage. Instead, Google has been seen grieving over the demise of the Delhi braveheart in its own way. In the memory of the braveheart, Google has placed a subtle vigil candle below its search box on the Google India homepage.
