Owing to the blockade enforced by the Amarnath Sangharsh Samiti activists on the Jammu-Srinagar highway, fruit growers and dealers in Srinagar are threatening to cross the Pakistan occupied Kashmir's capital of Muzaffarabad.
Hundreds of apple-laden trucks bound for Delhi and other Indian states have been rotting on the Jammu-Srinagar highway.
Amarnath Sangharsh Samiti protestors are not letting them pass. The dealers now allege that some trucks were set on fire and their apple produce looted
Kashmiri fruit growers who have their apple produce ready and fear it might rot in coming days have threatened to follow suit.
Meanwhile several valley based transporters held a protest march in Srinagar alleging their vehicles were damaged at several places on the highway.
