New Delhi: When tech behemoths like Samsung, HP and others have been coming up with ultrabooks, Fujitus India has launched four new notebooks in India. Targeting primarily SMBs, all notebooks are powered by Intel core processors.
The Fujitsu Lifebook LH531 is the cheapest of all. Priced at approx. Rs 25,000, the device weighs 2.2kg and features a 14-inch display that boasts an HD anti-glare display with LED backlight. It is claimed to offer up to 6hrs of battery time. Equipped with the optionally integrated Blu-ray Disc, it has a 1.3 megapixel webcam and digital microphone. It offers users three hard disk drive options - 750GB, 500GB and 320GB - to choose from.
The second in line is the Fujitsu Lifebook SH531, which features a 13.3-inch display and weighs 1.9 kg. The company claims that it is easy to upgrade the Lifebook SH531 with an external UMTS solution in its 34 mm ExpressCard slot. The device is priced at approx. Rs 45,000.
Another notebook launched by Fujitsu is the Lifebook AH531. With its high-definition 15.6-inch display, the notebook has integrated WLAN, Bluetooth and optionally embedded 3G/UMTS that helps the user connect and work remotely. It is also priced at approxiamtely Rs 45,000.
Fourthly, the company launched the Fujitsu Lifebook A531. There is not much differences between the Lifebook A531 and the above mentioned Lifebook AH531. The Fujitsu Lifebook A531 is touted to provide extra reliability and usability by the spill-resistant keyboard with extra number-pad and the anytime USB charge functionality that allows users to charge an external device with a USB charge connector even when the notebook is turned off. The company has not disclosed its pricing as yet but the device costs close to Rs 45,000.
Besides, the company is expected to come up with tablets and ultrabooks in next two months.
