New Delhi: Business rivalry seems to have cost a 10-year-old boy his life. Vipul – the son of an affluent Delhi-based businessman – was found murdered two days after he was kidnapped.
A class IV student of Delhi’s G D Goenka school, Vipul stayed with his parents in Rohini area of the Capital and was kidnapped on October 15.
The kidnappers reportedly demanded a ransom of Rs 1.5 crore of which Rs 33 lakh was paid.
On Wednesday, Vipul's body was found in Sonepat district of Haryana. A rival businessman and his wife have been arrested in this connection.
"It was not a matter of money. They killed our child over rivalry," says Vipul's uncle Naresh.
Details are awaited.
