Gaganjeet, India's next golfing sensation

New Delhi Indian golf's search for a torchbearer after Jeev Milkha Singh and Jyoti Randhawa seems to have come to an end. Gaganjeet Bhullar's win in the DLF Masters is indicative of the changing order in Indian golf.

The year so far has been very good for Bhullar him and the win in the DLF Masters in many ways reflects the changing order in Indian golf.

Bhullar has eclipsed some of the biggest names in Indian golf this year and that hasn't gone unnoticed.

"The way he is going he will be definitely in top two. Jeev, myself and Gaganjeet... there will be a toss of the coin over who is better. Gaganjeet definitely is in good form and I would definitely say he is a better player now," says Jyoti Randhawa.

"I don't know whether the order is changing or not but I have grown up watching Jyoti and Jeev. Today it is the first time that I was in contention with Jyoti and luckily I won. I am really, really happy about that," Bhullar says.

With Jyoti busy in Europe for the rest of the year there is no doubt that Bhullar will fancy his chances in the Indian Open specially after a successful dress rehearsal at the same course for the DLF Masters.

"I think it is a very good preparation for us for the Indian Open. I am sure they will make the course a little tougher but I think it is a good preparation," a confident Bhullar adds.

This year has no doubt been a watershed one for Bhullar with his game as well as his luck showing some drastic change, only for good.

Clearly, it won't be too long before Bhullar makes a mark on the global stage as well.
