Mumbai: A book on the life of Mahatma Gandhi Bahuroopi Gandhi will be published in Sindhi language in Pakistan next month, according to the Bombay Sarvodaya Mandal (BSM).
The book, first published in India in 1948, authored by Anu Bandopadhyaya and litterateur Zaffar Junejo, a BSM statement said on Wednesday, is translating it into Sindhi.
The book carries a preface by well-known Pune-based scientist Arvind Gupta, and has some caricatures by the renowned cartoonist RK Laxman.
The book presents many aspects of Gandhi. For instance, the book discusses how he spun khadi for his wife Kasturba on loom and stitched blouses for her. Instances, when Gandhi ji made leather sandals, washed clothes and cleaned toilets can also be read in the book.
The book is publishing under the banner of Junejo's organisation Transformation and Reflection for Rural Development based in Hyderabad in Sindh province of Pakistan.
