Mumbai: Ganesh Chathurti is over, but the auction at Lalbag Cha Raja isn't.
An auction is on at the mandal where devotees can bid for items which were offered to the deity over 10 days of the festival.
Tuesday was the first day of the two-day auction and generated over Rs 20 lakh.
The items up for sale are priced in the range of Rs 1,000 to little more than Rs 1 lakh.
And with gold items on offer — adding up to over 11 kilos — the organisers are confident of raising more than the Rs 50 lakh they raised last year.
