New Delhi: Six months after the suicide of MDLR employee Geetika Sharma, there is a fresh twist in the case. Geetika's mother Anuradha committed suicide on Friday. In a two-page suicide note, Anuradha has blamed former Haryana minister Gopal Kanda and MDLR manager Aruna Chadha - the duo are already in custody over Geetika's suicide.

DCP North-West Dr Karunakaran said, "We are registering a case on the basis of her suicide note. She mentioned her daughter's death and named Kanda and Aruna."

Sources said that Kanda and Chadha have both been booked for abetment to suicide. Police said Anuradha committed suicide soon after she returned from work in the Ministry of Finance.

It is not the first time that the family has alleged harassment in the hands of Kanda. Earlier, too, similar claims were made by them. Sources in Delhi police said that they are looking into how despite of Kanda being in jail was the family threatened. And is there an involvement of a third person as well.
