New Delhi: MDLR executive Mandeep was detained for questioning on Wednesday in connection with the company's former employee Geetika Sharma's suicide case.

Mandeep has been brought from Sirsa to Delhi. The sim card used by former Haryana minister Gopal Kanda to make calls to Geetika was in his name.

Meanwhile, key accused Gopal Kanda is still evading the police. The former Haryana Minister failed to appear at the Ashok Nagar police station where he was to be questioned. Police has issued notice to Kanda's lawyers that he must appear before Wednesday evening.

Kanda was implicated in Geetika's suicide note and resigned on Monday after uproar from the opposition. Geetika's family continues to allege he was harassing her. Senior MDLR airlines official Aruna Chadha has also been questioned.
