New Delhi: The Delhi Police is questioning the relatives of former Haryana minister of state for Home, Gopal Kanda, as the key accused in the Geetika Sharma suicide case remains on the run.
Six days after the incident, the police is yet to arrest Kanda, even though his colleague and co-accused Aruna Chadha was arrested three days ago.
Said DCP P Karunakaran, "We still haven't been able to find him. We are still carrying out searches in Haryana."
The Haryana Police has issued a look-out notice for Kanda at all airports.
He was declared absconding on Wednesday after the police failed to arrest him.
Meanwhile, the police raided Kanda's Sirsa residence for the second time on Thursday, hours after the Delhi High Court rejected his anticipatory bail plea.
The post-mortem reports of the victim, a former employee of the Kanda-owned MDLR group, has been handed over to the police. The National Commission for Women has taken cognizance of the incident. Its Chairperson Mamata Sharma met Geetika's family on Thursday.
