New Delhi: When it comes to looking after their bodies, most men take no chances.
They may be obsessed with sculpting their body to perfection but taking care of their skin is the last thing on their mind.
Experts say that men need to realise that skin care is not a cosmetic ritual.
Many men give no further importance to their skin than lathering it with drying, deodorant soap, running their razor across their face, applying a painful, alcohol based after shave. This common routine can cause unbalanced and irritated skin.
“If they are not cleaning their skin in an anti-septic manner, there can be a follicle infection,” says a dermatologist, Dr Shehla Aggarwal.
For keeping skin healthy, a Ph balanced cleanser is recommended. This will keep moisture levels balanced, which reduces irritation from shaving.
Plus, a man's face needs moisturising as much as a woman's. Lastly, one should stick to natural products as much as possible and avoid any product with alcohol or perfumes.
