Islamabad: A reporter was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Karachi on Thursday. The victim Wali Khan Babar worked for Geo News.
The news channel believes Babar was intentionally targeted. The channel reported that Babar was returning home from work when the attackers stopped his car and verified his identity before opening fire.
The gunmen escaped after the attack. No group has claimed responsibility for the killing so far.
Wali Khan Babar was covering the operation against the drug-traffickers in the Pehalwan Goth area of Karachi. He was on his way home after filing a report when he was gunned down.
