Click to play videoNew Delhi: Seventeen-year-old Tim Kretschmer went on a shooting rampage on Wednesday in South West Germany and killed 15 people. His father, a gun enthusiast had locked away all his firearms except a pistol, which Tim used to devastating effect.
After three hours of madness and mayhem. Tim shot himself in the head. The manhunt by 700 police officers and four helicopters for the "unremarkable' killer came to an end.
But not before 15 including nine students and three teachers were shot - execution style by Tim with his father's Beretta.
German police found that Tim did try to warn the world about his diabolical plan over the internet in a chatroom but no one took him seriously.
"I've had enough. I'm fed up with this horrid life. Nobody knows what I'm capable of. I am scared, I have weapons here, and I will go to my former school tomorrow and then I will really do a grilling. Possibly I get away, so keep your ears open, you will hear from me tomorrow. Just remember the name of the place, Winnenden," he wrote.
But Tim did not get away and with him has died the motive for his madness.
Police say they are exploring why 11 of 15 victims were females, but doubt he was exacting revenge on the school itself.
German Criminal psychologists say, this bloodbath is less about the victims and more about Tim himself, a teenager on the boil.
