Mumbai: If you liked Page 3, Satta or Apahran, then Mumbai Salsa is a film that you could probably look forward to.

And with this film, about writer of Page 3, Satta and Apahran, Manoj Tyagi, turns director.

“I always wanted to direct films. Since I could not start with being an assistant director I took the other route of being a writer because that is the core of any film,” said Tyagi.

It is a first film under a new banner with a new director and a fresh cast, but backed by an experienced producer.

“I don't want to give him reasons to complain like I've had,” said director Vikram Bhatt.

Talking about new, the cast is full of people you may or may not have ever seen before. The lead character is played by the stand up comedian Veer Das.

“I am Veer Das, by the way, I play Raj, confused character just the way I am,” said Das.

As far as the first-time director Tyagi is concerned, he doesn't plan to give up on his writing career just yet.

“I have lots and lots of stories. I'll keep writing and sharing instead of letting them rot in my laptop,” he said.
