New Delhi: With just two weeks left for Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week to kick off in the Capital the designers are busy putting in the last few stitches to their collections.

According to designer duo Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna black is back with a bang and that, too, in the classic 70’s way.

The duo gave CNN-IBN a peep into their fashion week collection, which is tastefully titled Light Fantastique.

Boxy jackets, peg skirts, kimono sleeves and geometric motifs – their line is a giant leap from the balloon silhouettes and flouncy skirts of the last season.

The metallic sheen in the chic textures instead of embellishments is quite a relief and raises the glam quotient of the collection.

“It’s the look of the season. The metallic look is in all over the world and India, too, is geared up for that,” Rahul says.

However, the designs look quite edgy but not cutting edge. But merchandising agent Sunil Sethi has just right advice for all such designers.

“I think by now we should be working on our own techniques and show the world what India is about,” says Sethi.

So, let's see if Indian designers graduate from being style seekers to trendsetters this season.
