Mumbai: Filmmaker Subhash Ghai’s film school, Whistling Woods celebrated its first anniversary.

And when the ‘showman’ calls, his friends show up always. Mukta Arts favourites Anil Kapoor and Jakie Shroff attended the event as expected.

And while singer Sukhvinder sang, it was ace percussionist Shivamani's tune that was the cynosure of all eyes, actually it was all ears.

The occasion was quite an emotional moment for Subhash Ghai.

"It is an emotional moment for me to see my students older and wiser,” said Ghai.

“I learnt acting, editing and everything from the master Subhash Ghai during the making of Hero. I only wish him the best,” said Jackie.

"Its a wonderful place for everyone who wants to learn about filmmaking,” added actor Zayyed Khan about the acting school.

So with all the filmi clout backing him, it seems like the showman's school will always get attention.

However, we can only wait and see if the students are as good or even better than their teachers.
