Ghansour rape: Women protest against MP govt, survivor still critical

Nagpur: The 4-year-old, who was allegedly raped in Ghansour town of Madhya Pradesh, continues to be critical with severe brain injuries. She continues to be on mechanical ventilator and life support system.

The child is still not able to breathe and is in a deep coma with no oxygen supply to the brain. The child was allegedly raped by a 35-year-old man on Wednesday after he lured her with a chocolate.

The man then dumped her at a cremation ground where her family found her unconscious. The accused has now been arrested.

In Bhopal, women took to the streets over the rising number of rape cases in the state. They demonstrated outside the state Home Minister's house. They demanded action against the culprits and lashed out at the Shivraj Singh Chauhan government for failing to act sensitively towards the need of women and children.
