Ghaziabad: There was high drama at a police station in Ghaziabad where a policeman and a local woman were caught on camera slapping a young girl. The girl retaliated by getting into a scuffle with the woman.
The girl had been detained by the police after locals complained that she was found with a man in a car. The girl admits she was drinking in the car, but says that false charges are being levelled against her.
The police received a PCR call on Monday night from the local residents about a couple drinking in a car. On reaching the spot, the police claimed that the car was surrounded by local people.
When the couple was brought to the police station, the girl allegedly misbehaved with the police and asked them not invade their privacy. Following this, a sub-inspector slapped her.
Around the same time there was an altercation with one of the complainants and the complainant too slapped her. The police have registered a case of public obscenity and misbehaving with public servant.
The couple is now out on bail. No action has been taken against the policeman and the local woman who slapped the girl.
