HYDERABAD: Justice PC Ghose, a judge of the Calcutta High Court, will soon head the AP High Court as acting chief justice.
Sources said justice Ghose will be transferred from Calcutta to the AP High Court as puisne judge and will assume charge as acting chief justice till his elevation as chief justice takes place.
Justice Madan B Lokur, the present chief justice, has been elevated as a judge of the Supreme Court and his warrant of appointment is expected in a couple of weeks. Justice Ghose was enrolled as an advocate on November 30, 1976. He was appointed permanent judge of Calcutta High Court on July 17, 1997.
