Road rage: Brother-sister duo beaten up

Delhi: Delhi witnessed yet another incident of road rage on Sunday evening when a brother and sister were brutally beaten up by two motorists following a minor argument.

18-year-old Akshay, who is the latest victim of Delhi’s road rage, recalls the event, “I came out of my car because they were dragging my sister. And you can see right now what they did to me."

The brother-sister duo was driving from Vikaspuri to Janakpuri in West Delhi when their car was blocked by two men.

The two men allegedly misbehaved with Akshay's sister. When he objected, they beat him with baseball bats and smashed the duo’s car in a fit of rage.

No arrests have been made so far in this case.

Akshay’s father, Sunil Kumar Mehta says, “I had never expected anything like this to happen. What’s happening? This is supposedly modern India. It is like a Hindi film in which goons attack innocent people."

This is not the first time incident of road rage.

In October 2007, a minibus driver hit Roshan Jahan with an iron rod after a minor argument.

The same year in July, Jitendra Singh was beaten to death by four men after his car hit their motorcycle.

Last year in December, a Gurgaon-based doctor was killed in a scuffle after two men rammed into his car.
