Priya had lodged a complaint with the city police on that her brother Naresh wanted to kill her.
"I was forced to get married, I think they want to sell me," she told the police.
Apparently, her brother was forcing her into the flesh trade and had already struck a deal with a pimp.
Family members allege that she was beaten up and murdered because she refused to be a party to the plan.
Priya was married to a man from Acheja village in Ghaziabad district one year ago, but was living with her brothers.
This was apparently resented by Naresh. Her body was found with stab wounds.
