Jaipur: A 22-year-old girl was on Thursday found murdered in a car on Jaipur-Delhi highway in the district, police said.
"The girl, an undergraduate student identified as Babli, had left her office at Shyam Nagar last evening but did not return home, following which her father lodged a missing complaint with Karni Vihar police station," said SP Jaipur (Rural) Bipin Kumar Pandey.
Her body with chopped throat was found in the morning on rear seat of a Maruti-800 car parked near Chandwji town on the highway, he said, adding, none could be arrested so far and investigation was on.
A postmortem later revealed she had been raped and then strangled to death. The victim was a BA final year student at the Rajasthan University, who also worked part-time, and had gone missing the previous day. The car's owner has been called in for questioning. Police believe the accused was someone she knew.
