Girls body found in Pampa River

KOTTAYAM: The body of Shyamala, 17, daughter of Pulirumbil Nandakumar, who went missing on Saturday, was recovered from the Pampa river on Sunday.
According to the police, the girl’s wrists were found slashed. The post-mortem examination was conducted at Kottayam Medical College.
She was cremated at her residence on Sunday. Search began for the girl in the river, after her slipper and shawl were found abandoned at a place near the confluence of Azhutha and Pampa rivers on Saturday.
