SONEPUR: Nearly 45 students of Panchayat Samiti Girls High School at Birmaharajpur on Wednesday boycotted their Supplementary HSC examination protesting change of examination centre.The examination being conducted by the Board of Secondary Examination began on Monday.
On the admit cards issued to the students, Panchayat Samiti Girls High School was mentioned as their exam centre.
However on Monday, the centre superintendent asked them to appear for the examination on Wednesday at Birmaharajpur Boys High School. On Wednesday, when they reached the Birmaharajpur Boys High School, the centre superintendent said their own school is the examination centre.
With no other option, the girls rushed back to their school where they were not allowed to sit for the exam by the centre superintendent.
Dejected, the girls met Sub Collector Prafulla Majhi who said the Circle Inspector of Schools had been asked to take up the issue with the officials concerned.
