New Delhi: A 14-year-old German girl has accused the son of Goa's Education Minister Atanasio Monserrate's son of sending her obscene SMS.
A complaint has been lodged at the Calungute police station against Monserrate's son Rohit, who is an MBA student, of sending her lewd messages.
Police are investigating the case but have refused to divulge any details of the complaint.
"The girl was missing but she has been traced. There have been allegations so we want to find out prima facie if there is any case. Hopefully we should be able to come to some conclusion in two-three days," Bosco George, Superintendent of Police, North Goa, said.
Sources, however, have confirmed to CNN-IBN that the girl has alleged that the minister's son sent her a sexually explicit SMS.
Monserrate said he has full faith in his son and he would never indulge in such things.
"Let the law take its own course. I will not interfere," Monserrate said.
The German girl's parents have settled in Goa.
The incident comes just two days after an Australian tourist died after he was allegedly assaulted in a pub by the staff.
